Senior Staff Advisor for Occupational Safety

Lieutenant Colonel Renzo Versteeg is Senior Staff Advisor for Occupational Safety and also Deputy Head of the (new) Occupational Safety Department within the staff of the Commando Landstrijdkrachten (Kromhout Barracks, Utrecht).

He is currently supporting the improvement of physical and social safety within the army, from the perspective of behavior and culture. His background includes roles within the Corps of Engineers (15 years), the Military Psychological and Sociological Service (12 years), and the Onderzoeksraad voor Veiligheid (2 years), as well as master’s degrees in Social and Organizational Psychology (Leiden University) and Human Factors & System Safety (Lund University).

He has been deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
